Commencement Ceremony of ‘IoT Army of 300 – 2nd Batch of 90′ Engineers

Second batch of trainees has completed the training program on IoT (Internet of things) arranged by DataSoft Systems Bangladesh Ltd. in collaboration with Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority, Leveraging ICT for Growth, ICT Division, MIS Department, Dhaka University and University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh titled “IoT Army of 300”. CSE & EEE graduates from different universities took part in this training program. Newest graduating class includes 90 trainees which is three times more than the previous batch of thirty. These young minds will play a vital role in bringing smart IoT based solutions in Bangladesh in fields like agriculture, manufacturing, home automation and many more.

The certificate giving ceremony of the trainees was held at BCC Auditorium, ICT Tower on 15 May, 2018 in Dhaka. The successful IoT graduates received their certificates at this commencement ceremony by Chief Guest Honorable State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP. Managing Director of DataSoft Systems Bangladesh Limited, Mahboob Zaman greeted honorable guests with his welcome speech. Mr. Zaman said, “The demand of Bangladeshi IoT engineers and products in foreign market is increasing rapidly, especially in Japan market. He encouraged the trainees in entrepreneurship and said the Generation 71 is waiting to see the revolutionary change in Bangladesh through you”.   As special guests Dhaka Water Supply & Sewerage Authority (DWASA) Engr. Taqsem A Khan, Director General of Power Cell Engr. Mohammad Hossain, Additional Secretary & LICT project management specialist Sarkar Abul Kalam Azad and Director, MIS Dept., Dhaka University Prof. Akram Hossain were present at the ceremony.

Mr. Palak said; “Today We are very happy to introduce another 90 IoT experts. It’s not only a proud moment for DataSoft but also for us for Bangladesh and for the world. I would like to congratulate the graduates who got the chance to know about this emerging phenomenon called IoT and today they got the final recognition for completing this training successfully. He also said “ I firmly believe that these young minds will contribute in the journey towards Industry 4.0 as well as Digital Bangladesh.

At this moment DataSoft is working on different IoT based projects nationally & internationally. DataSoft entered the IoT market of Japan by signing two agreements with Smart Life Co., Ltd Japan to provide next generation IoT solution to ten thousand smart apartments to make them smart for living. Last year DataSoft signed an agreement with the Ministry of Transport & Communication Channels of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to advise and install IoT based Toll Management Solution for DRC’s iconic Matadi Bridge and became the first ever Bangladeshi company to officially sign such a contract with one of the largest countries in Africa. DataSoft is also trying to penetrate the agricultural sector of Bangladesh with IoT solutions. In fields like poultry, mushroom cultivation and fisheries the IoT engineers are constantly coming up with smart solutions to improve the overall production of these sectors.
