Hon’able Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina @ DataSoft pavilion at Digital World 2017

December 7, 2017

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s craving for cricket is nothing new. And this time, she herself picked up a cricket bat and got into the digital version of the game, wearing a VR (virtual reality) headset during the inaugural session of Digital World 2017.

The prime minister seemed to enjoy the virtual game, but she became even more excited after learning that the simulation was entirely developed by Bangladeshi software company DataSoft.

The prime minister came across the innovation while she was visiting the pavilions, after inaugurating the mega Information and Communication Technology (ICT) event at Dhaka’s Bangabandhu International Conference Center on Wednesday.

State minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak said: “Wearing the VR headset, a person can enjoy the real experience of playing cricket.

“The game has been developed for a foreign company, and this is a matter of immense pride for our nation.”
